trackpad left click + hold issue on MBP mid 2012

Ever since i upgraded to El Capitan, my trackpad has been behaving weird. The left click starts to malfunction after awhile of being on, it keeps holding down even though i can still click (i can hear the clicking sound). I'm thinking its a software issue since this does not happens in Boot Camp. Please help!
