Hi,

It sounds to me like you're trying to take pictures on your iPhone 5s but they won't save, and I can understand the importance of getting those pictures for memories to cherish forever.

Let's try these troubleshooting steps to see if they'll help:

  • Make sure you're using the latest iOS Version.

Go to Settings > Tap General > Tap Software Update.

    • If you're running the latest iOS version, you'll see a message saying "Your software is up to date."
  • Make sure you have enough storage.

Go to Settings > Tap General > Tap on Storage & iCloud Usage.

    • Next to available, make sure you have enough space to take pictures.
    • If no space is available, consider deleting old pictures off your device or importing them to a cloud service like in iCloud Photo Library. You can also uninstall any applications you don't need off your device to make more room for photos.
  • Restart your iOS device.
    • Press and hold on the Sleep/Wake button.
    • When the slider appears, drag it to completely power off your device.
    • Once the device is off, press and hold on the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

If restarting your iOS device doesn't help, try the next step:

Reset All Settings

  • Go to Settings > Tap General > Tap Reset All Settings.
    • If prompted for a passcode, enter it then follow the onscreen instructions.

Regards,

John
