How do I clip from 2.13 to 2.30 for example. Where does the movie display the mins and seconds? Sorry for such dumb question.

I need to clip a soccer game from a certain time to a certain time. When the movie plays the time is not displayed.

How do I display the time on the movie so I know where to start and end the clip please?

I think you must be using iMovie version 10.0.x. Since 10.1 the time is shown above the timeline:

If you want to extract a clip from a longer movie you have to do that before importing into iMovie using, for example Quicktime Player.
