Taking contacts off a phone with a broken screen

Hi, I smashed my iPhone 5c screen to bits and got a 6 as a replacement. I'd quite like to get my contacts off my 5c onto my 6. I plugged my 5c into my computer and the backlight goes on, but I can't see anything on the screen. It's recognised by iTunes but it says 'To allow access, please respond on your iPhone' but I can't because the screen is so smashed.

Anyone got any ideas on how to get iTunes to access my phone when I can't do anything on the screen? thanks

iPhone 5c, iOS 9.0.2

Hello,

Some points of interest for you:

- did you store your contacts in iCloud or a similar service like Google, Yahoo, Exchange, etc? Activate that service on your new phone and the contacts should return

- did you create back-ups of the old phone, either in iCloud or iTunes? Placing that back-up on the new phone should give you your contacts back.

- if you have an iTunes back-up stored on your computer, you can use apps like this to extract information from it: https://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/ or http://www.imactools.com/iphonebackupviewer/ If you search the web, you'll find others.
