Taking a long time to charge - 25% in 6 hours! First charge for I-pad Air.

What are you using to charge it?

Are you using the correct charger 10 watt not a 5 watt iphone charger
Try another wall socket .

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I am using a multi-plug that seems to charge at a normal speed with other laptops. Overnight it has charged to 78%. Two things I wondered about were a) the multiplug but I was afraid to unplug it since it is the FIRST charge or b) I had started to download a movie from itunes (which was also VERY slow). When I thought of this, I tried to pause the download but it wouldn't respond. MMmmmmmm.....
If you think it is ok to shift it to another wall socket I will but I doubt this is the problem.
PS We live in China and use a VPN which seems to work well most of the time.
