Unable to add file sharing folders

Hi,

I am on a Macbook Pro late 2013 with El Capitan and am unable to add folders for sharing in the Sharing preferences under File Sharing. I can't delete or add any folders from the 'Shared folders' table. Does anyone have this issue and does anyone have a solution for this? Any solution would be greatly appreciated.
