FCPX is not accepting AVCHD folders in EL Capitan

When I go to import my MTS files in FCPX the program will not allow me to click on the AVCHD folder. If I take the MTS files out and try to go straight to the files Final Cut gets stuck validating the files. What is going on? Someone please help. I did not have this problem with Yosemite. In Yosemite FCPX handled MTS files beautifully.
