I am trying to check the dates of photos and invariably iPhoto (9.4.3, 720.91) crashes and produces a report sent to Apple. After the 100th crash in a row, I guess I need to try elswehere! Hence this post. I will try to insert part of the report here. I am using iPhoto on an iMac running OS 10.8.5.

Huxly647 figured out this fix
1. goto /Applications/iPhoto.app/Contents/Resources
2. delete the files ' googlemap.html ' and googlesearch.html
Iphoto no longer crashes, places doesn't work but it doesn't bother me too much.
It is trying to access Google maps - either kill that or sign up for your own Google Map access (direction are in a few posts on here)
