RAM Upgrade with 2x16GB but only 2x8GB

Hello,

last months i have upgraded my RAM to 2x16GB total 32GB without problems. Now i have inserted 8GB RAM extra and the my IMac shows me 24GB total 3x8GB. I have removed this 8GB and start my IMac but now i have only 2x8GB??? confused. My IMac: 27 (m.2013) i7

Please help me 🙂

The maximum amount of RAM a 2013 27" iMac will support is 32 GB, this is ONLY supported in 4 X 8GB DIMMs. In additional iMacs are VERY sensitive to quality RAM, most experienced users on these forums only purchase RAM from reliable sources such as OWC (www.macsales.com) or Crucial.com .
