Feb 13, 2016 10:02 AM in response to ronfrommadisonby gail from maine,We would need a lot more information in order to help. Please provide a complete description of what you are specifically looking for. What you are expecting to see in iCloud and where in iCloud you are expecting to see this information.
Cheers,

Feb 13, 2016 10:16 AM in response to ronfrommadisonby LarryHN,Think about it - you want us to tell you what you are doing wrong yet give us no clue as to what you have or what you are doing - with what you gave us the only answer is "something" - your question is like "I was driving and got lost, where am I?"
We need to know what OS and photos software versions you have and what iCLoud settings you have in the system preferences, in Photos preferences on the Mac and in the iCloud preferences on each IOS device
The most likely is that you are not logged into the same iCloud account on all devices or that you have not turned iCloud Photo Library turned on on each device or that one or more devices has not completed its upload yet or some other unguessable problem

Feb 13, 2016 10:32 AM in response to ronfrommadisonby ronfrommadison,It took an hour and 45 minutes to do this, but I cannot find anything transferred

Feb 13, 2016 10:32 AM in response to ronfrommadisonby Csound1,How did you 'migrate' the files, in detail please.

Feb 13, 2016 10:34 AM in response to ronfrommadisonby gail from maine,And you are looking for them where? That is what I had asked originally. Are you looking for your photos in the Photos app? Are you looking for the Music in iTunes? Just not sure where iCloud comes into this?
Cheers,

Feb 13, 2016 10:41 AM in response to gail from maineby ronfrommadison,Yes, Gail. I've looked in the Photos app and in iTunes. I've never used iCloud before, so I am not familiar with how it works or what it does, but i thought I understood that it was a gathering place for all saved data. Forgive my ignorance, but this is my first day on a my new mac. I don't know specifically what the operating system is either other than OS X Yosemite .

Feb 13, 2016 10:54 AM in response to ronfrommadisonby gail from maine,OK, so the way you migrated as Csound indicated, and the information that LarryHN asked for is needed now. It could be that the migration process itself needs to be redone in a different way. We need to know the method you used to migrate your info, and then we need to get a clear picture of the Mac you are now running on, including the versions of OS X, and whether you are using iPhoto or Photos, as well as the version of iTunes you are running.
The version information can be found for the Mac by clicking on About this Mac in the dropdown under the in the upper left-hand corner, the version of the apps can be found when you open them and then click on the App name in the top menu and then on About.

How did you use iCloud, did you even use iCloud?

Feb 13, 2016 11:07 AM in response to gail from maineby ronfrommadison,Ok, this is kinda like oral surgery for me. Lol The iMac is OS X Yosemite version 10.10.5. The apps are Photos version 1.0.1 and iTunes 12.3.2.35. When I went through the computer's set up process it prompted me to a link for my pc to transfer files to the new mac via wifi.

Feb 13, 2016 11:10 AM in response to ronfrommadisonby LarryHN,iCloud is NOT a gathering place for all saved data - it is a collection of many services all of which are optional and each of which has to be set up
https://www.apple.com/support/icloud/
If you want your photos on iCloud then you have to import them to Photos and you have to have iCloud enabled on your Mac (and any IOS devices you want to share them) and you have to have iCloud Photo Library enabled in Photos - iCloud Photo Library FAQ - Apple Support
iCloud Drive can be used to share data but again it is not automatic - http://www.apple.com/icloud/icloud-drive/ - iCloud Drive FAQ - Apple Support
Since you have a new Mac that you do not understand you will be much happier if you immediately sign up for a couple of classes at your local Apple Store - it will save a great deal of frustration
And you are already behind on software - you should upgrade to OX 10.11.3 - El Captain - it fixes many bugs and has many new features

Feb 13, 2016 2:13 PM in response to LarryHNby gail from maine,Not sure the OP's intent was to use iCloud. I think that at this point they are just trying to find out how to get the photos into the Photo Library and the music into the iTunes Library. Sounds like there is a setup assistant with a new Mac that helps you transfer data? Is that the case? I know I used a direct cable link to move files onto my Macbook Air when I got it, but that was several years ago, and I don't really have a clear memory of what I did.
ronfrommadison - can you clarify if that is what you are trying to do at this point?
Larry or Csound - Is there a way for you to help the OP to determine if the libraries were migrated correctly, and then to help get them into Photos and iTunes - I am useless at this point....
Thanks,
GB

Feb 13, 2016 6:02 PM in response to gail from maineby LarryHN,The OP specifically ask about iCloud hence the answers about iCLoud
I transferred data from my pc to my new mac but they don't show up in iCloud. What am I doing wrong?
And since they transferred from a PC they did not transfer a library - there is no Photos library on an y PC
Bottom line that since the OP will not tell us exactly wha they did all we can do is make wild guesses - they need to take a class or two and they need to upgrade

Feb 14, 2016 6:33 AM in response to gail from maineby Csound1,The Photo Library (correctly the iCloud Phoro Library) is a part of iCloud, how can you use it and not iCloud?
Methinks the OP is confused regarding what he is trying to do, more questions and ore answers are required.
