I have trouble connecting to Google from Safari

When coming out of the sleep mode Safari won't connect to Google. You have to turn Wi-Fi off then back on to connect. Apple has given me a new computer because they thought it was a hardware problem. Same problem. reloaded operating system same problem. Got Bell to give me a new modem and still same problem.Has anyone encountered this and if you have what was your solution. The computer is a Mac Book Pro.

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch,Early 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)

Please read this whole message before doing anything.

This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.

Step 1

The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.

Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”

While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.

Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?

After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.

*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.

Step 2

The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.

Please take this step regardless of the results of Step 1.

Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem.

Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.

Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.

The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.

Test while in safe mode. Same problem?

After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2.

Line: I think we have done this step. Apple partioned my hard drive. We loaded a new operating system with no files or third party hardware We rebooted in the safe mode. Also I now can't start up other applications either. This is the first time that has happened. It is now safe to say that Safari does not connect withWi-Fi unless we turn it on and off.

Please start up in Recovery mode. In the OS X Utilities screen, select Get Help Online. A clean copy of Safari will launch. No plugins, such as Flash, will be available. While in Recovery, you'll have no access to your saved bookmarks or passwords, so make a note of those before you begin, if they're needed for the test.

Test. After testing, restart as usual and post the results.

Line: I have been on with Apple for several weeks so excuse me if I have forgot some of the things you suggest. I will try to explain what we have done. When recovering from the sleep mode I click on Safari. It usually goes to the Google page. What happens is that it freezes on a bank page with UNTITLED in the bar on top of the page. Sometimes when you leave it sitting there for several minutes a message does up that says Safari can not connect to Google. But if I hit the red circle to get off the page and recheck on Safari it connects right away. Sometimes it goes to the google page with no response when you type in a selection. I always check to see if I am connected. The only thing that is consistent is turning Wi Fi on/off. At first Apple thought it was a hardware problem and actually replaced the Lap top(since it was brand new). They loaded from the old computer to this one. The same problem still existed. We tried to start in the Safe Mode and in the Recovery Mode. Last time they portioned the hard drive and loaded a clean version of the operating system. The same problem still exists. I have changed modems and tried several networks with the same problem still existing. Running out of options Apple copied several files from the computer to give to their engineering dept. Through out we changed several setting. That is about as complete as I can recall. I am not a computer expert and most of the tests were done through a scene sharing program. Sometimes we waited/tried changes for several hours. I thank you four your effort.
