Q: Method for batch exporting .pdf or .doc from Notes?

I embraced the Notes feature when it was attached to OS X Mail and have used it to log phone notes for some years.  It works well for that, but every time that Apple changes Notes (or mail or icloud, etc), I experience a problem and regret my choices.  Does anyone know a way to batch export to .pdf or .doc format?  I have more than 2,000 notes, so doing it individually isn't a good option.  I discovered an option or two to export to .txt format - not my first choice due to the limits on characters and graphics.

I don't think there is a good option here.  I had my first problem with my records in Notes when Apple de-coupled it from Mail and made it a stand-alone application.  The most recent issue was when I agreed to allow Notes to "upgrade" my records in El Capitan.  Most of my content disappeared into the ether.  With some work I was able to correct that, but would like to get out of this cycle.

Can I ask how you can batch export to .txt?  I'm thinking of moving my notes to Simplenote and txt would work fine.
