"Battery is not charging"

I was watching Netflix when my late-2010 model MacBook Pro suddenly started going slow, I then saw that my battery was on zero percent and that its status was "battery is not charging" the same problem as this post: Macbook "Battery is not charging"

however while hole googling for the solution my Macbook did die and now won't turn on at all, even with the solution. The green light on my charger has been lit this hole time and I even tried swapping it with an old charger I have.

can someone help?

It sounds like you have a battery or charger issue.

You have already tried a new charger and that was not the issue.

So I guess the only thing left to try is to replace the battery.

You have not indicated whether you have a 13" Macbook Pro or a 15".
