iOS 9.2.1 on iPad 3, massive data traffic

Hi,

upgraded iPad 3 GSM to iOS 9.2.1. Now it creates massive data traffic via wifi (not via mobile data). Packet sniffing shows lots of "ACKed unseen segment" errors when talking to some apple services and gmail.

Works fine on iPad Air 2.

Any idea what could cause this strange behavior?

Unfortunately, can't downgrade to 8.4.1 😟
