Can't view all albums under Genre on Apple TV

This has been a running gag over the years on the iPhone, the Apple TV2 and now the latest Apple TV. I have a Mac on my local network, running iTunes and I want to stream music to my Apple TV (4th Gen). I pull up the Genre to see all the albums under that genre, but then I'm forced to choose an Artist. Why can't I just simply list all the albums under that genre? Does anyone know a work-around? I've tried making a smart playlist for that genre but rather then being grouped by album, the tracks seem to be listed in a random order. It's such an obvious blunder, that it's infuriating—and they've done this over and over again over the years! It may be time to look elsewhere for local streaming software.
