"No trouble found" during iPod servicing

Hi

I sent my ipod away to get serviced due to the many problems ive been having with it. And looking at my repair status page I see "no trouble has been found" and my iPod is getting sent back to me.

Heres what will happen.

I will get the iPod back, restore it for the 5th time in two months, copy all my songs back (which takes all day since I only have USB 1) use it for a few days then iTunes will say "Updating iPods Library" and I will have to copy half the songs to the iPod again, then iTunes will show an Error 48 (i think the number is 48) message and my iPod wont sync. Then when I eject it and plug it back in to my mac iTunes will claim that my iPod is synced to another library.

Is their any way of convincing apple that my iPod is broken? I cant keep re-copying all my songs back to it every week! And will apple charge me for this?

iMac G3, Mac OS X (10.4.8)
