I use an iMac 21.5 inch mid 2010 desktop with El Capitan 10.11.3, I also use an iPad Air 2 recently bought. My problem is this:- when I create a document on my mac (in numbers) and save it to icloud it does not download to my iPad air. I am logged into icloud on both devices what am I doing wrong?
First, to insure it actually uploaded, open Safari and go to www.icloud.com and log in
and make sure the document is there. This is just to determine if it is the iMac that
is the issue.
If it is there, then the issue is with the iPad. If not then the issue is the iMac.

Thank you for your reply which was helpful. After doing a bit of research I found that I was doing it all wrong, first I was using Firefox which does not fully support icloud, second I was not uploading the spreadsheet to icloud. Having now logged into icloud.com it all seems to be working now.
