how to I reference cells between multiple spreadsheets?

I'm new to Numbers 3.6.1 (Macbook & iPad) and would like to learn more. I cannot find an up-to-date user manual that can answer my question.

I have worked out how to reference cells between sheets in a spreadsheet, but I cannot find any information on how to reference between cells in two or more spreadsheets.

I would have thought that =SpreadsheetName::SheetName::TableName::CellRef would do the trick, but this doesn't seem to work.I would have thought that these two spreadsheets, being in the same folder, could be cross-referenced?

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Many thanks in advance

At this time Numbers does not allow you to refer to a cell in another document.

Your options are:

1) post feedback to Apple using the menu item "Numbers > Provide Numbers Feedback"

2) consolidate your data into multiple sheets of the same document

3) Use an apple script to retrieve data from the "other" Numbers documents

Personally, I recommend (2)
