Are iBook Notes Saved Locally on my iPad

Hi,

I have multiple iBooks downloaded on my iPad all with notes in them. If I were to wipe my iPad and then sign in with the same Apple ID, so that I could download the books again, will the notes be deleted from the iBooks.

Regards,

iPad, iOS 9.2.1

Hi spars234,

Thanks for participating in the Apple Support Communities.

It looks like you want to erase your iPad and re-download your books, and your wondering what happens to the iBook notes.

Notes (as well as highlights and bookmarks) are saved on the device but you can sync them to any other Apple devices you have. For more information and help with this, see Sync iBooks between your Mac and your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

Best Regards.
