I cannot load a photo into a project with iMovie11 (9.09) I have tried from the desktop and iPhoto, but I can load from iMovie11 Used iMovie for some years never had this problem before- any ideas?

I cannot load a photo into a project. The photo appears OK, but when I run it just goes black. I have tried all the ways I know ie from iPhoto and the Desktop. However I can insert into the same movie clip in Movie10.1. However I do not know this product and it appears to be lacking in many ways and seems designed to be able to be used buy iPasd's and iPhones. I never had this problem on iMovie09.

Like to here any ideas?
