When I try to get into OS X it shows a grey lock screen.

Hey, I'm running dual boot with Windows 10. I just finished installing Windows 10 and it is seamless. But when I try to get into OS X El Capitan, holding the option key when starting up, it shows a grey lock screen with a password space. I tried everything, my OS X password, my Windows password, etc. Please help, I need OS X and Windows by Monday.

Greetings ppariya,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!

From your post, I understand that when you boot your Mac and try to load OS X, you are seeing a screen with a padlock on it. This sounds like you have enabled a firmware password. The following article discusses firmware passwords and how to use them.
