use with rural satellite internet

Am looking for a solution for a rural home. I have satellite internet which caps the amount of downloads during peak hours and has unlimited downloads during non-peak. If I had HBO Go, can the Apple TV device do a download and store the program for later use? If not, any other solutions possible? TIA.

Yes and no. The content providers like HBO, Netflix do not have "offline viewing". On the other hand, you can purchase/rent content from iTunes, Amazon etc and then download them to your iTunes computer and then enable the home share to stream the content over the local network. But you will need the computer to act as an intermediary since the ATV does not have storage for personal use (other than apps/games).
