Unable to remove Xcode key binding on a MBP with German keyboard

I am unable to delete a key binding in Xcode 7.2. The Apple help page tells me to *not* use the backspace key because then the backspace key is bound to that action but a "Remove button". I am unable to find said button on my keyboard. Where is it? I can't remove the offending key binding.

I tried fn + backspace and a few others but nothing works.
