Getting 'This cable or accessory may not be certified' despite using original charger for Iphone 6?!

So I got a new original Iphone 6 cable and adapter yesterday. It was working fine, until I got 'this cable or accessory is not certified,..'. I tried switching off and connecting the charger again, but the message kept popping up.

There wasn't any dust/lint in the port, and I did try connecting the adapter at different plug points. The charge ran out, I connected the charger again but It won't charge. I'm so frustated. What am I Supposed to do?
