Upgrading video card in MacPro 5.1 2010 to GForce GTXot

I replaced the ATI Radeon card in my Mac Pro mid 2010 5.1 with a GTX 960 from Gforce but it is not working. There is just a blank screen. is anyone using this card? i read somewhere that it will work with a special driver. I wanted the change to get an HDMI output and 4gb throughput. Does anyone have a solution or worst case another equivalent card that will work on a Mac with no hassle?

Mac Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.3), 2 of them

A graphics card that is not flashed for a Mac will not show a boot screen, Your card requires drives you have to download and install in order to work after booting.
