reliable communication with external keyboard and Logic

I have a problem with consistency with my keyboard not keeping the instruments in a stored setup with, 4 banks, one instrument in each, either being able to send out the correct sound and getting it back to play it or the name changing on the keyboard with setup chg chan is set to none, midi set to normal and xmit prog chg is off. when you first turn it on even if you start up the keyboard first and then launch Logic Pro x it acts with interference with Kurzweil PC 1 x keyboard.
