Interfaces with Emoji very slow in El Capitan

Hi guys,

I have a 13" MacBook Pro Retina 2015.

Ever since I upgraded to El Capitan, I have noticed two particular things which have become very slow as compared to Yosemite.

The Login Process

When I was running Yosemite, the login process right after typing the password and pressing ENTER used to be instant. After upgrading, I type the password and press ENTER, and it "freezes" for about 4 to 6 seconds before accepting the password and beginning the login process.

I tried doing a fresh install (because of a problem with keychain) but this short delay after typing the password still happens. It's not that big a deal, but it bothers me because it used to be instant in Yosemite.

Interfaces with Emoji are very slow

I use WhatsApp Web during most of the day. I like using it in Safari because the autocorrect feature works there and not in Chrome. At first it would work just fine, but then after the second or third update to El Capitan, I noticed a very annoying delay in opening the emoji panel. I think this issue began when El Capitan introduced the new emoji.

Scrolling through the emoji makes it painfully slow, to the point that I have to make "micro" scrolls, waiting about 4 to 6 seconds between each, just to be able to find the emoji I want. Trying to scroll normally hangs the interface for about 6 seconds, only to refresh it way past the point where I was intending to scroll.

At the moment, this interface (emoji panel) works perfectly smooth in Chrome, so I am forced to use WhatsApp web there.

Using emoji in Excel makes it very slow

While on the topic of emoji, I noticed that when I type emoji in several cells in Excel, after about the 20th cell with emoji (just one per cell) the whole interface because really slow when typing into any cell that's in any of the columns near the cells with emoji.

For example, I have a table where column C has about 20 cells with one emoji each. Typing anything in any cell in columns A, B, C, D, and E (at least) is really slow. The letters appear very slowly and often keystrokes are even missed.

Any ideas of how I can make the interface smoother?

I appreciate your replies!
