Lock Screen/ apple logo. Stuck on apple logo

I Shut my ipad mini 3 off because somebof my apps were not responding, thinking it would fix the issue i shut it off. When i turned it back on the apple logo just stayed pn the screen, and wouldnt do anything, also heating up. Doesnt do anything, the screen will occasionally glitch, but the apple logo would come back on the screen. Also wont even shut off, i have to just let it go dead or it will just sit there with the apple logo on screen and get really hot. Please help
