iMac 24" early 2008 does not boot into windows 7 32bit after installing through Bootcamp

I have windows xp installed through Bootcamp and it works fine; when i try to install windows 7 32bit through Bootcamp the install goes fine, but then it will not boot into windows on the restart. Is windows 7 not supported on this model? I have tried to upgrade and clean install with no success...please help
