Dropped my iPhone 6 and its chipped/dented on one side, is there anything I can do to make it look like new again?

Yes. Go to your nearest Apple Store and purchase an out of warranty replacement.

My understanding is that Apple doesn't do out-of-warranty replacements for cosmetic damage.
The cheapest solution is don't look at that side of the phone.

Depends on how bad it is, but an option would be to take it to an independent repairer and have them reshape the casing. It would be a relatively quick and easy job.

I will in instances where it's necessary to do so. But reshaping the case won't hurt the users chances of using out of warranty options further down the road.
