retina macbook pro load bar after password

So i'v got the retina macbook pro 2015 (13-inch base model) and yesterday i deleted my "Macintosh HD' partition and wiped my drive completely using disk utility. now when i login, the grey load bar shows up after i'v booted (past the black screen with the apple logo), and selected my account and entered my password. this is weird because before i reinstalled os x, the grey bar would appear during the black boot screen, and not after i'd entered my password. has this happened to any of you guys?
