Remote TV app not working Gen.4

My remote TV app is not working. I am able to use home sharing and i am able to connect my tablet/phone to the TV, but i do not have TV remote as a option it just does not show up. I am using a apple time capsule for my router and it's up to date. I have checked my firewall and even turned it off and i don't have it. I am using the correct account on all devices. I would like to be able to control my TV with my phone or tablet. It was there and i was able to control it. but it's not there anymore
