Cannot make my Bootcamp disk valid for W8 install after formating in win setup, what is wrong?
Also i dont get the option to choose partion size before BC boots the first time...
Mac Pro OSX 10.11.3 - Windows 8.1 on DVD
Mac Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)
What year is your MP? If it is the tower model, how many internal disks do you have?
2011, 5,1
4 disks, 1 SSD, 2 on a RAID10, and one single formated one for Bootcamp
1. Please disconnect and physically remove your RAID set till Windows is fully installed. Reference - Boot Camp doesn't support RAID configurations - Apple Support and Boot Camp: Partition alert message when using Boot Camp Assistant - Apple Support .
2. Only the OS X and designated Windows drive must be connected.
3. BCA should be used and it formats the partition as FAT which Windows Installer will convert to NTFS. Please see Boot Camp: Install Windows on your Mac , How to install Windows using Boot Camp - Apple Support and https://help.apple.com/bootcamp/assistant/6.0/ .

That didnt work.
I removed the raid, kept the last HDD and the SSD with OSX, still dont accept it, i cannot disconnect the other HDD, then its not possible to install BC on a second disk.
Or how else can i install BC on another disk per this instruction?

1. If you have OSX and designated Windows disk connected, you can use BC Assistant.
2. If you only have the designated Windows disk, use the DVD to install Windows by booting from the DVD and choosing the only available disk.
Tried both, unfortunately i still get the same message...
Can you run SMC and NVRAM Reset? Once complete, with only the Windows disk in the MP and the Installer DVD, can you run SMC and NVRAM Reset and test?
Hmm, now we are on a higher level than my knowledge, do you have some links on how to perform these resets?

Its not cause i have a SSD as a OSX startup disk?
If the Windows disk is the only disk in your MP, and you have the Windows Installer DVD, can you boot from the DVD and see the Windows disk to install Windows?
Yes i can, i also tried that, with no change of luck
If the Windows Installer does come up, which bay is your designated Windows disk located in?
GPT Error: Windows cannot be installed to this disk
