Cannot sign in to iTunes Store

Suddenly I'm unable to sign in to the iTunes store on my 2012 iMac. I click the 'sign in' button and nothin happens - to I go to Store > Sign in and again, nada.

I am able to log into the Mac App Store with no problem and log into iCloud.

I've deleted and re-downloaded iTunes and followed all the steps in the support documentation to no avail.


Tried logging in using my daughters Macbook and got in with no issues so it cannot be the internet as we're on the same network. This means it must be something on my iMac that's causing the issue - any suggestions?
