I believe there was with enough of an outcry when this feature was turned off in iTunes to get it turned back on, but I realize that is a slightly different situation. I'm just not pleased with Apple's trend over the last 5-6 years of dropping business/professional apps and designing apps and features that are not consumer-friendly, but are only designed to drive the profits for Apple.

Thanks again for your response and for the double-admonition. On discussion boards it is always difficult to know when discussion comments turn into rants. I did not intend to rant, nor do I wish to offend and certainly not violate the TOU. I think I suffer more from poor writing skills because I was hoping that if any in the community saw my post and was aware of a way to turn "home-sharing" on (in other words, it worked and I was not aware of it, or there was a "work-around"), then I would be thrilled to know of it. I constantly learn helpful tips from the Apple Support Community board and was hoping for a silver-bullet on this one.

By the way, I took your advice (the first time) and immediately posted at the link you provided directly to Apple asking that home-sharing be reactivated for the Photos app.
