I have ipod shuffle 2nd generation and need new charger (dock) can I still buy these ?

Apple no longer sells the official replacement of the USB docking cable with "cradle." Do not buy the replacement USB docking cable for the current 4th gen (and 3rd gen) iPod shuffle, because it does not work with 2nd gen shuffle (the connector is different).

There are 3rd party replacements available, for example

There are other similar products, including some that do not have the cradle, and some that do not even have a cable (like this one)

Make sure the product is described as being for the 2nd gen shuffle. I'd go with one that has a cradle, because it holds the shuffle at a specific steady position relative to the plug, which may be important for a 2nd gen shuffle.
