Photos missing from DCIM folder

I am trying to copy photos and videos from my iPhone 5S to my PC and when the DCIM folder appears in Windows, only the photos from the current day appear. The phone is unlocked and connected to the PC. There are hundreds of photos and videos on the phone and I need to move them to my PC as the capacity of my phone has been reached and it is now not functioning as it should.

I was able to use this method to move photos from my phone to PC until a few weeks ago.

Neither my ISP nor the Apple store can provide me with a solution. I've updated phone and PC settings to the latest versions.

iPhone 4S, iOS 9.2.1
