Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like your iPad was previously able to connect to the Internet over your Wi-Fi network, but now there's an issue connecting to the Wi-Fi network and the Internet. Try taking a look at the article linked below and running through the general Wi-Fi network troubleshooting tips that it provides.

Turn router off for 30 seconds
Then when it back on go to settings on iPad reset network settings
After reset enter your router wireless key .
