Q: How to prepare used iMac for sale

I have a used iMac running Yosemite 10.6.8 that I wish to sell. I have to wipe the hard drive and cannot find a way to do this. It does not appear to have a recovery section of the drive that will allow me to use disk Utilities.

How should I set about this task?

Click here and follow the instructions. If the computer originally shipped with Mac OS X 10.6.8 or earlier, when you reach step 5, insert its original disk, restart with the C or Option key held down, use the Disk Utility to erase the internal drive, and install a fresh OS.

Mac OS X 10.6.8 is Snow Leopard, not Yosemite.
