See if you can find the file(s) using one of these programs. If you go Finder/View/Show Path Bar, it will show you where it is located.

Also McAfee is poorly coded nonsense ware and needs to be deleted from your system, it doesn't protect against anything (as you already found out) and it causes problem as you could find by browsing these forums and see how many users had system performance restored by removing it entirely.
Demand your money back. Mcafee for Mac is not McAfee with Windows, it's written by incompetent programmers and it does not integrate with OS X.
Ask around it if you doubt me, I wouldn't not expect you to listen to advice from a single source.
At the time of this writing there are no Mac virus' in the wild and all mac AV solutions have a long way to go before they work seamlessly. As of now they are far more problematic than they are useful.
