Q: Can't sign in to Facetime on OSX 10.11.3.
IMac (early 2009) OSX 10.11.3, Facetime 3.0
Recently upgraded to El Capitan. The Facetime icon appears in the dock with a 1 in red in the upper right hand corner. When I click on the icon I get get the Facetime display with the camera activated and request to sign in. When I attempt to sign in by entering the Apple ID and password which I know to be correct , there is a processing delay, but then nothing happens (no error message either). I have tried this several times with the same result. Facetime works fine on my iPhone and iPad.
iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11.3), Facetime for Mac 3.0

1. If a McAfee "anti-virus" product is installed, please remove it by following these instructions.
Note that if you have already tried to uninstall the software, you may have to reinstall it in order to finish the job. If you have a different version of the product, the procedure may be different.
Back up all data before making any changes. Never install any "anti-virus" or "anti-malware" software again.
2. If you synchronize Contacts with one or more network services such as iCloud or Google, please disable all the contact accounts in the iCloud and/or Internet Accounts pane of System Preferences. When prompted to confirm, choose to delete the contacts from the Mac. They'll still be on the servers and on your other devices.
Log out or restart the computer.
If the problem is resolved, re-enable the accounts one at a time, wait for the network contacts to reappear, and test after each step.
