PS4 Controller partially works on Mac OS X 10.10.5

As the title says. I bought a PS4 Controller to play Brawlhalla on, Now this is where it gets really weird. The ps4 R1/R2 L1/L2, D-Pad, Right/Left Thumb Sticks work perfectly fine on Steam Big Picture and Brawlhalla... Yet Triangle, X, Square, & Circle DO NOT WORK. I bought the Controller used on Amazon.com for ~32$. any suggestions? And yes i reset the controller multiple times with the reset button...
