Q: My mid-2014 Macbook pro will not recognize my bluetooth when I am using Windows 10 OS through Bootcamp.

I'm trying to pair up both my PS3 controller and my wireless bluetooth mouse to my Windows OS for both Steam games and for future classes that will make use of my Windows OS, however I cannot find anything that would lead me to think my Windows 10 even recognizes my Macbook having bluetooth capabilities. I know it does. I use bluetooth devices through my mac all the time.

I've looked for about two hours online to try and see if anyone else shares my problem, but to no avail. I don't know what I've been doing wrong and I've tried downloading the driver device, the driver software, but found nothing. My bootcamp just will not recognize the bluetooth driver from my mac and I want to know what either I am doing wrong, or if there's something else I need to do in order for my bluetooth to work.

It will not appear under device drivers, nor in control panel.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)

    1. What year is your Mac?

    2. In Windows Device Manager, do you have a Bluetooth entry? If yes, are there any Apple drivers installed under BT?

My Mac is a Mid 2014.

No, there is no Bluetooth entry at all. If I type "Bluetooth" into the search engine in Windows 10 no results pop up at all, either.

This is from a W8.1 2012 Mac. Do you have an Apple entry in your Device Manager?

    1. If you click on View and check the Show Hidden Devices, do you see any BT devices?

    2. If you don't see some features of your Mac in Windows - Apple Support .

    3. You can download BC6 drivers to a USB flash drive for your Mac from the OS X side using

Ok ok, so I see the Bluetooth tab after I show hidden devices! I'm getting somewhere!

So I click on the Apple Broadcom Built-In Bluetooth and try to update the software (I manually downloaded the driver device) and it says it is updated...but it still doesn't let me connect any devices to my Windows 10 OS.

What do you advise I do next? If it is downloading the Windows Support Software, I tried to do that earlier with a FAT formatted 8gb usb drive, but it kept getting stuck when it tried to "save" it to the usb. Like it wouldn't progress past the 50% mark on the bar that appeared.

Where did the device driver come from?

Are you downloading the Windows software using a Wireless connection? Can you download it using a Wired connection and check if the download completes?
