Q: Front camera stopped working

Today the front facing camera on my iPhone 6s Plus stopped being available in any camera app I've tried. i didn't drop it or get it wet or anything and there is nothing obstructing the front lens. I've been using the camera successfully for a long time with no issues. Tried resetting the settings and it didn't work, then tried restoring from a backup on my iMac and it didn't work. Anyone heard of this issue before or know what I could do to fix it? Thanks!!
