Q: Locked out of iCloud with correct verification codes

I was asked for my password... I was told it was incorrect, and I had signed out of only one device, so it makes sense.... but then I typed in the verification code texted to me... I entered it correctly, but it said it was incorrect... this happened two more times, and now I am locked out. It there something I can do to rectify this situation. It is a bit frustrating.

Thank you

    Hi Jenapples1,

It sounds like you are unable to log into iCloud on your phone because it for some reason did not accept the confirmation code that was sent to you and now you either have to wait to try again, or you cannot log into your account at all. Without knowing the error message you are getting specifically it is difficult to assess where to start but if there is not a prompt saying you need to wait X amount of time, then I would reach out to iCloud support with the Apple Support link here:

    https://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/

If that is not the case and you can try again, I would quit the Settings app on your phone:

Force an app to close in iOS

    1. Press the Home button two times quickly. You'll see small previews of your recently used apps.
    2. Swipe left to find the app you want to close.
    3. Swipe up on the app's preview to close it.

When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:

iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

If the issue persists, backup your device to iTunes, then restore it as new and verify that it works.

How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups

If it does, then restore your backup to either verify it still works and the software just needed reinstalled, or isolate the issue to the backup file itself. If that still doesn't work I would recommend you reach out to the iCloud support team with the first link I had above. Thank you for using Apple Support Communities, all the best.
