Q: AUDIO SYNC LOST AFTER CONVERTING TO NTSC
Hi everybody,
I'm finalising a year long project and I'm in deep trouble with no clues about the unexpected situation I'm facing.
Originally I edited my documentary in a 25i FullHD timeline. The guy who is converting it to a DCP asking me to have 2 file a 25i one and 29,9i in order to have a better outcome (let's not go deep into this DCP conversion process which I don't know).
From this timeline I exported a ProRes 422 HQ file...I find out that the 25i file is perfect the 29.9i is out of sync...initially is 1 second gap (the single mixed audio track given to me by the audio engineer is faster than the audio...i.e the words are heard earlier than the lips moving)...than the gap increases up to..I don't know...lets say 5-7 sec.
I went to check the timeline and even if I copied all the edited clip from the 25i timeline to a new 29.9i project and notwhistanding the fact that the are visually identical and the single mixed audio track is perfectly synced with the -2second note...even in the timeline there is this loss of sync...again...with no visual explanation!
IS THERE SOMEONE WHO CAN HELP ME? PLEASE!
