Q: OD wrong ip + unable to alter passwords
HI I have a 10.8 server which has been running fine for a long time.
However now there are a few authentication issues with one email account and looking at Open Directory it has the wrong IP address and I can't change passwords for users at all.
I can authenticate as diradmin and admin but not change any passwords.
I have tried....
sudo launchctl unload /System/LIbrary/LaunchDaemons/org.openldap.slapd.plist
sudo db_recover -cv -h /var/db/openldap/openldap-data/
sudo /usr/libexec/slapd -Tt
sudo db_recover -cv -h /var/db/openldap/authdata/
sudo /usr/libexec/slapd -Tt
sudo launchctl load /System/LIbrary/LaunchDaemons/org.openldap.slapd.plist
which recovers data and all seems to go well but still OD playing up.
I have gone through the FQDN wizard and also used change to set the ipadddress and FQDN all seemingly OK... but still the OD has the wrong IP address and can't alter passwords....
