itunes won't finish downloading

itunes won't finish downloading

Whenever I try to download the new version of itunes it starts to download but only goes up to 12%, if that. I've tried deleting my temp folder and tried to just save and download but it won't go any further.

any help is much appreciated.

ipod nano, Windows 2000

Make sure you have service pack 4 if you're on Windows 2000 or service pack 2 if you're on Windows XP.
-Click start
-Right click on my computer
-Click on properties
-Click on the General tab; this gives you your system information

Try disabling your antivirus/firewalls (temporarily) to allow iTunes to download.

yeah I have that and I already tried disabling my firewall, still won't download all the way. i'm stumped.

Are you on XP or 2000?

Also, what kind of Internet connection do you have?

Hi,

I have the same problem, and keep getting stuck at 13% It happens on both my parents laptop (sony vaio with xp) and mine. We have a bt wireless router and 2mbps broadband.

I use firefox, but have had the same problem with ie 5 and 6 and the bt yahoo browser.

Please help.

Hi John-

Make sure your Windows is up to date
Start > All Programs > Update

Also, since it's happening on both computers, I'm thinking your router has a built-in firewall that's blocking this.

You may want to try disabling it first, or, go through the steps in this article and then try again.
