Quadro 4000 PC compatible with Mac Pros?

Hi, hopefully someone knows more on this than me. Under el capitan, is it possible (either stock or with flashing the card's firmware), for a PC variant Quadro 4000 video card to run on an Intel Mac Pro? I looked some online, and from what I could find, it should be compatible without modification, but you just won't see anything until it boots into OS X. Is this correct?

I would like to check before I have it shipped etc..

Mac Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)

Note when you update OSX version you may have to update the drivers before the card will work again.

Thanks for the great reply! That driver page lists it's compatible with "Quadro 4000 for Mac", but doesn't say anything about the PC variant. I just want to make sure that on El Capitan, it's no longer the case that you have to do rom flashing or other weird stuff to a standard PC Quadro 4000 card to make it work on Mac.
