Safari 9.03 and Mail 9.2 display text in a garbled fashion in many instances. It's not everything, just random strings. The preview of the mail reads OK. Everything is fine on iPhone (OS 9.2.1). But when opening some Mail in the viewer and looking at Facebook on Safari, I often see unreadable text strings. Any suggestions for fixing this? Thanks!

Notice the text on the left sidebar and bottom right. That's in Safari.
This is Mail. Viewed on iPhone the text before the emoji is "Yes, I can".

Please back up all data before proceeding.
Launch the Font Book application and validate all fonts. You must select the fonts in order to validate them. See the built-in help and this support article for instructions. If Font Book finds any issues, resolve them.
Start up in safe mode to rebuild the font caches. Restart as usual and test.
Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t start in safe mode. In that case, ask for instructions.
If you still have problems, then from the Font Book menu bar, select
File ▹ Restore Standard Fonts...
You'll be prompted to confirm, and then to enter your administrator login password.
Also note that if you deactivate or remove any built-in fonts, for instance by using a third-party font manager, the system may become unstable.

Yup. I had a very similar issue (in Facebook indeed) and Restore Standard Fonts... in Font book fixed it. Thanks. Unfortunately I can't push the Helpful button.
Any idea where are the removed fonts, though? Just to understand what caused the issue.
PS: Never mind. It is in "~/Library/Fonts (Removed)"
I can't find File ▹ Restore Standard Fonts... Is that in Safari. Please help. I don't get the same junk in Firefox on the same web page
